Light up your evening: all 12 courts ready for night tennisTue, 3 Nov 2026 · Club
Margaret River Tennis Club courts illuminated by LED floodlights beneath an evening sky

There’s more time to enjoy a hit at Margaret River Tennis Club. All 12 courts have LED floodlights, so you can keep playing after the sun goes down.

Installed in 2025 and already in use since last season, the lights deliver bright, even illumination for evening tennis. Whether you’re fitting in a game after work or meeting friends for a casual hit, our floodlit courts make it easier to get on court.

Book a court. We’ll light it up.

The lighting is linked to your booking through the club’s BCS gate system. Simply book a night-time slot and the lights will come on automatically for your session.

Night tennis at a glance

  • 12 LED floodlit courts, with lighting reaching 600+ lux.
  • Automatic lighting linked to your night-time booking.
  • Lighting charge: $5 per hour, in addition to court booking fees.

The upgrade brings more energy-efficient lighting and more opportunities to enjoy tennis throughout the year. Come down, enjoy the evening atmosphere and make the most of our courts under lights.

Busy Bee - this Weekend! Can You Help?

We need your help!

Following the huge storm recently, we need a club clean-up, so we're planning an end-of-season busy bee. We have debris to clear from around the courts, a few indoor jobs to tackle, and some general maintenance to keep our club looking its best.

Busy Bee
📅 Sunday 21 June
⏰ 9:00am – 11:00am

If you're able to lend a hand, please bring along any useful equipment such as:

  • Garden vacuums
  • Plastic rakes
  • Yard brushes and shovels

Many hands make light work, and even an hour of your time will make a big difference.

To help us plan the morning and allocate jobs efficiently.

  • Please RSVP using our contact form if you're available to attend.

A huge thank you to all our volunteers. Your support helps keep our club running smoothly and looking great for everyone to enjoy.

We hope to see you there!

Please can you volunteer? Good Day Sunshine Event is on soon!Sun, 16 Nov 2025 · Social
Please can you volunteer? Good Day Sunshine Event is on soon!

The Good Day Sunshine Festival is coming to Gloucester Park on Saturday, 29 November! This exclusive WA event will feature performances by The Tesky Brothers, Boy & Bear, Meg Mac, The Beautiful Girls, Charlie Collins, Dear Sunday, Carla Geneve and Tanya Ransom.

Our Tennis Club has been offered some exciting volunteer positions for this event, which will help raise funds for the club:

·       Option 1: 6 volunteers from 12:30 pm to 6:00 pm as seating ushers

Your job would be to help patrons find the best spots for their chairs, (no tiered seating this year). Also to keep marked lanes clear and to make sure everyone has a great view (and plenty of room to dance!).  If we get all 6 volunteers the club receives a $990 donation.

·       Option 2: 4 volunteers from 10.00 am to 4:00 pm on Friday as site scrim Installers

Your job would be to help prepare the site before the event by installing scrim (shade cloth/ mesh fabric) around fencing and key areas.  If we get all 4 volunteers the club receives a $720 donation.

Volunteers will receive free access to the concert after their shift, (final release tickets are valued at $179 per person!). The music will run from 1:00 pm to 10:00 pm, so you'll have plenty of time to enjoy the performances!

If you are interested in volunteering for one of these shifts, please use our contact form as soon as possible. If we cannot fill these roles, they may be offered to another club.

Thank you for considering this opportunity to support the club.
